On 8 April, I spoke on the importance of youth voice in democracy in the Modern Direct Democracy Forum in the Universiti Malaya (UM). Moderated by Member of Parliament Charles Santiago, in the same panel were Adrian Schmid from Swiss Democracy Foundation, Prof. Rajah Rasiah from UM and Thomas Fann from Bersih 2.0. Also in attendance were UM Vice Chancellor and Swiss Ambassador to Malaysia. Co-organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in Malaysia and the Asia-Europe Institute (AEI) in collaboration with the Centre for ASEAN Regionalism University of Malaya (CARUM), two poster presentations with my undergraduate students on “Bersih Movement and People Power” and “May 9, 2018: A Peaceful Revolution for Malaysia” are also in display in the exhibition in the AEI until 19 April.
